This quilt was a labor of love. Work that felt like play. It represents many years of trick-or-treating, as I have worn ALL of the costumes; witch, mummy, robot, and lastly, a cowgirl at 16, when I was told, “Aren’t you a little too old for this?”, by an older lady answering the door! I thought the night sky would look enhanced by the addition of crystals sewn at close intervals. After a couple of hours sewing, I thought the idea was ridiculous. It would take me many more hours to complete! I began innocently collecting Halloween-themed fabric, then easily became hooked on them, stopping shy of obsession. The blocks came together effortlessly, with such a fun subject and color scheme.
Cotton fabric, polyester trim, plastic and metal buttons, Swarovski crystals.
