textile art
There is nothing that brings more joy than running my hands over fabric and delighting in the various textures – soft, scratchy, slippery, fuzzy, or smooth. I like telling stories using textiles as my medium. Some of the pieces are abstract in nature; some created to preserve memories; and some just for fun and fantasy. These are the most time-consuming and thought-provoking pieces of art. The simplest can be completed in a day. The more complex, with added intricate trims, take years to finish.
