Another painting that began from a simple five-inch sketch. This one is about painting the foreground first (lines) and the color-blocked regions second. Layer upon layer of color was added, as I experimented with complimentary, tertiary, and analogous schemes. In the end, I added the horizontal orange line, to break up the large green mid-section. Personally, I was working on opening up and taking bigger risks in art and life.
